2026 Subaru Trailseeker Release Date and Breakdown

Subaru looks to add to its all-electric lineup in 2026, as the Subaru Trailseeker joins the Solterra, a nameplate Subaru established in 2023. The Trailseeker takes notes from the Solterra, borrowing a powertrain and several of the interior and exterior design notes from older Subaru EV. Size is the most significant difference between the siblings, as the Trailseeker is over six inches longer and an inch taller than the Solterra. We still expect the Trailseeker to offer two rows of seating, so the extra space should be used to increase cargo capacity in the rear. We also expect the Trailseeker to qualify for the full $7,500 EV tax credit upon its release. 2026 Subaru Trailseeker EV Specs

Subaru has announced that the Trailseeker will feature a dual-engine configuration, capable of producing 375 horsepower. While the Trailseeker is an EV, it’s a Subaru first, meaning you’ll have all the features you expect from any other Subaru, including AWD, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, and drive modes for snow/dirt and deep snow/mud. Other performance features include grip control and a downhill assist feature to improve your off-road performance. The Trailseeker will be capable of towing small loads of up to 3,500 lbs. We expect the Trailseeker to borrow a battery from the Solgera, with an estimated driving range of 260 miles per charge. It will come equipped with a standard NACS charging port, enabling a max charge rate of 150 kW. The NACS port also adds 15,000 charging locations across the US, making it easier to charge anywhere you go. 

2026 Trailseeker Trim Levels and Interior

We expect the Trailseeker to start with three trim levels:

• 2026 Subaru Trailblazer Premium

• 2026 Subaru Trailblazer Limited

• 2026 Subaru Trailblazer Touring

Every model will be equipped with features such as a power rear gate, StarTex water-repellent upholstery, heated front seats, and raised roof rails. The Limited adds larger wheels, power front seats, a Harman Kardon audio system, and a panoramic view monitor. At the top of the lineup, the Touring has a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated seats, and a leg heater for the driver and passengers. Trailseeker Technology Features

The Trailseeker will come equipped with Subaru’s leading EyeSight Driver Assistance suite, featuring traffic jam assist, low-speed hands-free driving, active lane change assistance, and front cross-traffic alerts. You’ll also find keyless entry with push-button start, with the option for a digital key and remote start. The cabin features a 14.0-inch infotainment display that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
